http://hbowl.com/Juanes – Colombian singer/songwriter and 17-time Latin Grammy winner Juanes invited the YOLA at EXPO Center Chamber Orchestra to join him onstage for his two shows at the Hollywood Bowl – so, naturally, he had to rehearse with his new musical friends. He stopped by EXPO Center in South LA to jam with YOLA and to offer some words about not only his own experiences as a young musician, but the importance of music education for all young people.
Juanes plays with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (led by Thomas Wilkins) and the YOLA at EXPO Chamber Orchestra at the Bowl as part of Gustavo Dudamel’s “Americas and Americans” festival on AUG 17-18, 2012.
Through Gustavo Dudamel's Youth Orchestra LA (YOLA) program – inspired by Venezuela's revolutionary El Sistema – the LA Phil and its community partners provide free instruments, intensive music training, and academic support to over 600 students from underserved neighborhoods, empowering them to become vital citizens, leaders, and agents of change.
